📅 March 1 — Program 2 of Polish Radio's 89th anniversary

On the studio stage Piotr Pawlak will perform — an outstanding pianist of the younger generation, winner of Program Two's listener poll “Uchem słuchaczy”, who during the 19th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition impressed the audience with his sensitivity and mature interpretation. The artist, laureate of the 2nd prize at the II International Chopin Competition on Historical Instruments, will play an Érard piano from 1858.

He will be accompanied by the Arte dei Suonatori quintet — a chamber formation of an orchestra specializing in historical performance.

Program:

  • W.A. Mozart — Piano Sonata in A minor, KV 310
  • F. Chopin — Polonaise-Fantaisie in A-flat major, Op. 61
  • F. Chopin — Piano Concerto No. 2 in F minor, Op. 21 (transcription for piano and string quintet: Kevin Kenner and Krzysztof Dombek)

About the performers:
