I invite you to take a walk through the alleys of the old town district. During the walk, we will hear stories that may not be known to everyone.
We will meet on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at 4:00 PM at the Bridge by the Sigismund Column. The walk is expected to last about 1.5 hours.
We will learn, among other things:
Who sold the Sigismund Column and for how much?
About how Professor Zachwatowicz deceived Bierut?
Where was the prison where parties lasted until dawn?
Who got punched in the face by the fountain in the Old Town?
Where can you stand on a pile of historic manure and garbage?
Who established the first investigative commission?
Where is the narrowest tenement house in Europe?
How were patients with syphilis treated?
Where was the first bridge in Warsaw located?
Which street is said to have been the hub of Warsaw's erotic tourism?
Where did the first meteorologist of Warsaw live?
and many more...
There is no fee for participating in the walk, but if you believe that the guide deserves a tip (...)
The walk will be led by a city guide from the Warsaw Alley. I warmly invite you and see you soon. 😉
