I invite you for a walk along Krakowskie Przedmieście, during which we will hear stories not necessarily known to everyone.
We meet on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at 5:00 PM under the monument of Nicolaus Copernicus. The walk is expected to last about 75 minutes.
We will learn, among other things:
What does Nicolaus Copernicus have in common with a sandwich?
Where stood and what was famous about the Palace modeled after the facade of the Royal Castle?
Where did the famous sculptor 'pull the trigger'?
Who wandered around the city with 'duck Leokadia'?
Where did the 'father of Polish photography' have his tenement house?
Who went to the theater 'on a wire'?
Who was the 'Ice Lady'?
Who made 'Dziady' from 'Poland'?
Why was Krakowskie 'narrow'?
What were those '(...) breasts'?
Who collected female heads?
Where is the café famous for chess games?
and many more...
There is no fee for participating in the walk, but if you believe that the guide deserves a tip…
The walk will be led by a guide from the Warsaw Alley. I warmly invite you and see you there.
