Trainer Training at Voice Progress is a very intense experience during which trainers almost isolate themselves from the outside world, focusing on deepening their understanding of how the voice functions and teaching.
TOPIC SCOPE:
HOW DOES THE VOICE WORK?
Two perspectives: Medical and vocal. The differences in perspective help to better understand how the voice works, which aids in more effective teaching.
TENDENCIES
General tendencies that occur among vocalists. Due to what the voice can do, there are 7. Combined with knowledge about how the voice functions, this provides a powerful awareness of how to address vocal problems.
DIAGNOSIS
How to precisely diagnose what is happening in a vocalist's voice and what tendencies they have.
TOOLS
Familiarity with 4 basic tools will help manage any tendency of the diagnosed vocalist. Regardless of the Student's level of advancement, these 4 basic tools will not only enable the opening of the range or increase the comfort of voice operation. They are also helpful in the reconstruction and rehabilitation of damaged voices.
VOWEL
It is the most powerful tool in the teacher's arsenal, yet still very often underestimated. Very few trainers and therefore vocalists focus on what they actually have an influence on. Gaining knowledge about very specific vowels allows for an immediate effect. Implementing appropriate habits will not only solidify this effect but also prevent difficulties in the future.
VOICE REHABILITATION
Discussion on what the most common voice disorders such as vocal fold insufficiency or singing nodules are, and where they come from. How to work with such cases. What to do and what to avoid. Reliable knowledge about how the voice functions is very useful in this regard.
PEDAGOGY
One of Krzysztof Wojciechowski's favorite topics - how to reach the student in the most digestible way for them. Understanding the mental and emotional state and attitude of the vocalist is often the key to improving the health of their voice.
