⚫️ On JANUARY 13 at 19:30, we will show the masterpiece of American war cinema: 'THE BRIDGE ON THE RIVER KWAI' by David Lean.
At the 1958 Academy Awards, 'The Bridge on the River Kwai' defeated, among others, the film 'Twelve Angry Men' and won as many as 7 statuettes for:

⚫️ About the film:
'The Bridge on the River Kwai' is the first film in David Lean's epic period. A proud and polished war film boasts all the qualities that made the British director a true master.
Outstanding performances: Alec Guinness portrayed a British colonel insisting on adhering to the Geneva Convention regarding prisoners of war, while Sessue Hayakawa brilliantly depicted a stubborn and cruel Japanese officer.
