The Vistula is an excellent living place for many species of animals, especially birds. This exceptional bird refuge is home to rare and endangered species that are under special protection within the Natura 2000 network.
We invite you to a series of ornithological walks, during which we will get to know the winged inhabitants of the Vistula District.
The walks will take place on the first Saturday of each month and will start from the Educational Pavilion Kamień.
During winter walks by the river, we can encounter, among others, huge groups of gulls of various species. Birds, moving from feeding grounds to roosts, gather at the end of the day along the Vistula, forming flocks of several thousand.
We encourage all enthusiasts and fans, young and old, to observe our feathered friends. How satisfying it is when we manage to spot a rare species or photograph a beautiful bird.
The walk will be led by ornithologist Hubert Mateuszczyk from the Green Management Board. We meet on January 11 at 1:00 PM under the Educational Pavilion Kamień (ul. Wybrzeże Puckie 1). FREE ENTRY.
Hubert will have a telescope; we ask you to bring binoculars – if someone doesn't have them, #DrużynaKamienia will be happy to lend them.
