WHAT ARE THE 'MAPPING THE FUTURE' WORKSHOPS?
It is not a classic dream map or vision board. These are workshops in the Creative Development trend, where you will immerse yourself in your creative expression to rid yourself of guilt, shame, fear of judgment or criticism, reaching authenticity, which is the essence of yourself. All to plan 2025 in accordance with yourself, your desires, and potential. You will then create a symbolic image of values and goals for the new year, which will be your mindfulness practice. The workshop program is based on the latest research in neuroaesthetics*.
TECHNIQUES: Active imagination, improvisation, dance and movement therapy, drama, visual arts, relaxation techniques.
IMPORTANT: You do not need to have artistic abilities. The value of the created work lies in its authenticity.
WHAT IS CREATIVE DEVELOPMENT AND HOW DOES IT WORK?
It is a new, integrative trend in art therapy. It uses various artistic media as a means of expression and communication with oneself and the environment, assuming that the synergy of creative actions accelerates the healing process, stimulating different areas of the brain, exploring different types of intelligence, and ultimately leading to better integration of body and mind. Art therapy can help you see, think, and feel differently, freeing you from fear, guilt, shame, or a sense of obligation. These are the main factors blocking the release of your potential. Communication through metaphors and symbols, in movement, sound, or image is the fastest and most natural way to our inner self. Words are secondary and sometimes insufficient.
IS THERE SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH ON THIS?
A synthetic report from the Health Evidence Network (HEN) of the World Health Organization (WHO) from 2019 maps global academic literature, referring to over 900 publications, including 200 reviews covering over 3000 further studies. This report is the most comprehensive review of evidence on the impact of art on human health and well-being.
WHAT IS NEUROAESTHETICS?
Neuroaesthetics is a branch of science that emerged in the late 1990s, which currently deals with some of the most challenging problems of our time, including chronic stress and its accompanying diseases, pain management and addiction, learning differences, depression and mental illnesses, as well as reduced productivity and innovation. What we have intuitively felt for over 40,000 years is confirmed by scientific research - art is therapy. Thanks to innovative interdisciplinary research, we have more and more evidence of the direct impact of music, art, theater, dance, literature, architecture, and nature in treating many disorders and improving quality of life. This knowledge currently elevates art to the level of superpower.
