‘Babizna’ is an old Polish word meaning ‘inheritance from a grandmother’, that is, all goods inherited from female ancestors. We find it wherever women gather to share their experiences and truths in an atmosphere of kindness. The shared memory of female heritage is present in every generation, as behind each of us stretches a line of mothers, grandmothers, and great-grandmothers. The aim of the workshop cycle is to invite you to experience both dimensions of babizna - on one hand, that which reaches into the past, preserved in rituals, songs, and dances of the dark part of the year (from autumn to spring), and on the other hand, that which emerges in good close contact with other women in the here and now.
We invite you to four monthly meetings. Each of them will explore the next stages of the energy cycle in the Gestalt approach: relaxing and letting go of the old; birthing intentions for the new year; mobilizing for action, nurturing and sustaining new ventures; integrating experiences.

🌀 Celebration of the Winter Solstice, the nearest workshop - December 22, 2024
The time of the winter solstice is special because at this moment we have a unique opportunity to experience the meeting of the old with the new. In the greatest Darkness, at the end of the cycle, Light begins to emerge, which will shine brighter each day on our life journey. During the workshop, we will attune ourselves to the natural cycle of nature, which invites us to ultimate letting go, to immerse ourselves in silence, so we can dream awake a bright dream of our future. We invite you to celebrate the winter solstice in a women’s circle, where your personal process will intertwine with the experience of the group, and the femininity sitting in the circle will strengthen the experience of the Life-Death-Life cycle. We will immerse ourselves in our bodies in meditation in movement, in a creative process, we will dance in a circle and sing songs traditionally resonating in our areas during the solstice.
Gestalt: a humanistic-existential therapeutic and developmental approach (philosophy), whose essence is experiencing oneself in relation to oneself, to another, in a group, and with the environment in the constantly changing Here and Now. All this thanks to the awareness of one’s sensations (body), feelings (emotions and feelings), and thoughts.

Joanna Łucja Cichoń - a person, a woman, a dancer of life, a Quantum Traveler on the path to freedom and love in all aspects of earthly experience, an educator and Gestalt therapist.
Anna Ledzińska - a mother, daughter, granddaughter, a doctor of medieval Latin, an avid gardener, a Gestaltist in training.
