We invite you to an exhibition that brings closer the work of Władysław Strzemiński.
The exhibition will feature paintings, drawings, and lithographs from institutional and private collections, including those from the National Museum in Warsaw, the Museum of Art in Łódź, Krupa Gallery, and the collection of Stanisław Fijałkowski. This is a unique opportunity to see works that are not usually available to the general public.
The exhibition is comprehensive, presenting works from various periods of Strzemiński's creativity:
◾️ Works from the 1930s, created after the unist period – half abstract, half figurative, showing the evolution of forms towards simplification and graphic signs.
◾️ Figurative drawings from the 1940s and the late cycle of 'production works' – works depicting weavers and harvesters.
◾️ Paintings from the early 1950s – temperas from the 'Harvesters' series and a drawing from the MNW collection on the same theme.
◾️ Iconic 'Afterimage of the Sun' (MNW).
◾️ Lastly, chronologically, there are small-format, realistic works depicting wooden cottages.
◾️ The exhibition showcases a wide repertoire of motifs and formal means used by the artist.
🗓 The opening will take place on December 12, 2024, at 6:00 PM.
📅 The exhibition runs from December 12, 2024, to February 2, 2025, and is open to visitors from Tuesday to Sunday from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
