💜 Improvisation is a group art, but there are moments during a performance when the energy of the room is managed by one person! Welcoming, leading the show, warm-ups, talking to the audience, monologues, solo scenes - these are elements of an improvised show that hold the same significance as well-played sketches. I invite you to a joint training and exploration of tools that will help you in solo performance.
💜 After the workshops, you will leave with a pool of warm-ups, ideas for audience interaction, readiness to perform in difficult conditions, and the energy to manage the Katowice Spodek. Both seasoned stage performers and those who have never done anything alone on stage are welcome. We will explore all the black scenarios that may limit you and find your individual style.

The School of Impro has been operating in Warsaw since 2012. It is the first and longest-existing institution in Poland teaching theatrical improvisation. The courses are led by experienced artists from Warsaw stages, active instructors — actresses, comedians, vocalists, writers, screenwriters — who have learned from renowned teachers and initiators of the global improvisation scene (iO Theatre Chicago, Second City Chicago, Upright Citizens Brigade New York).
