I INVITE YOU TO WEEKLY WORKSHOPS OF POLISH TRADITIONAL DANCES IN NON-STAGE FORMS!
Level INTERMEDIATE (+2) 🙂
In November, our workshops will continue the adventure with rural oberkas and polkas.
During them, we will focus on improving the knowledge and skills acquired in the previous month as well as acquiring new dance skills.
We will work on spinning in a circle 'with the sun and against the sun,' on smoothly changing the direction of the dance, and spinning the couple in the so-called 'four directions.' Additionally, we will learn various types of embellishments, including stomps, kneeling, and hops.
Ultimately, we will strive for a dance in which spontaneity and personal improvisation can appear while maintaining the characteristic features of the style and performance manners observed in rural dancers.
Mastering these elements will allow you to enjoy dancing, among other things, during the autumn edition of the All Mazurkas of the World Festival organized in November and at numerous traditional dances held both in the city and in the countryside.
During the workshops, we will dance to melodies from various regions of Poland.
The workshops are dedicated to people who have mastered dancing oberkas and polkas at a basic level, meaning they can smoothly spin in the first direction (against the sun)!!!
🔳 During the workshops, there will be rhythmic exercises that will help you develop a sense of rhythm, motor coordination, strengthen your physical fitness, and give your dance movements strength, fluidity, and lightness.
🔳 You will master the steps and rules applicable in non-stage forms of traditional dance performed at dances, so that dancing brings you as much pleasure and joy as possible.
🔳 Our workshops will help you overcome fear and anxiety about dancing in general, and – which is very important – about dancing with another person in a pair or in a group.
🔳 It will also be a large portion of inspiration, good fun, in the company of fantastic people who come to our workshops.
🔳 It will be an excuse to get to know each other, which will help you quickly find a dance partner for the nearest dance.
