We warmly invite you to participate in the liturgical music workshops, which will take place on October 4th at the Dominican monastery in Warsaw's Służew district (Dominikańska Street 2). 🎶 The workshops are primarily intended for those serving with singing in parishes, but other individuals involved in scholas and choirs in other parishes are also welcome to join. 👩🏫 The workshops will be led by Dorota Dąbrowska and Mateusz Krakowczyk (along with assistants in specific sections). 💰 Participation in the workshops is free of charge. 📅 Preliminary workshop schedule: PART I – in room 8 in the cloisters - 9:00 – vocal warm-up - 9:30 – sectional work (learning new songs) - 10:15-11:45 – full rehearsal (new songs and some old ones) - 12:00 – Holy Mass in the church on the occasion of Warsaw's Rosary Prayer Day, presided over by Bishop Michał Janocha - 13:00-14:30 – lunch break (self-catered) PART II - 14:30-15:50 – meeting of conductors and all interested in discussing the best ways to lead scholas – Chapel of the Transfiguration or (optional) - 14:30-15:50 – Gregorian chant workshop led by Mateusz Krakowczyk (room) - 16:00 – vocal warm-up focused on voice development – led by Anna Warchoł (Chapel of the Transfiguration) - 16:30-17:15 – learning psalms – group work, then in quartets! - 17:30-18:10 – sectional rehearsals (new songs) - 18:15-19:15 – full rehearsal (assembling new songs) – Chapel of the Transfiguration - 19:30 – Holy Mass in the church, followed by sung prayer of the Akathist in honor of the Mother of God 📧 Those interested in participating in the workshops are asked to send an email to [email protected] with the following content: "FIRST NAME AND LAST NAME – FULL / FIRST PART / SECOND PART" We encourage participation in the entire workshop, but if someone doesn't have enough time, they can choose one part. We are registering participants to know how many sets of sheet music to prepare. The workshops are also open to "non-affiliated" individuals, those not regularly singing in any of the Służew scholas, and even those who have not sung with us yet but would like to start, potentially including your friends outside our group.
