In the Footsteps of Remarkable Women



On the occasion of International Women’s Day on March 8, gentlemen are also invited to a walk following the traces of famous and lesser-known women residents of Warsaw.



📅 Sunday, March 8, 2026
🕒 Time: 15:00
📍 Meeting point: corner of Nowy Świat and Świętokrzyska 4 (behind the Staszic Palace)
⏳ Duration: about 1.5 hours



During the walk we will learn:



  • Who was called the Chaplin in a skirt?
  • Whose legs were admired by the male part of Warsaw’s audience?
  • Which woman shot herself in the temple and survived?
  • Which woman was among the first to pass a driving test?
  • Who was the fruit of Augustus the Strong’s sinful love?
  • Which lady was called the Nightingale?
  • What does The Art of Loving have in common with Kiliński?
  • Who was the asymmetric lady?
  • Where did women not hesitate to pull the trigger and plant explosive packages?
  • And many others…
