    About the event

    Bródno Cemetery – formerly a cemetery for the poor, today it is called the Powązki of the right bank. It is one of the largest cemeteries in Europe in terms of the number of burials! During the walk, I will talk about the history of the cemetery and we will visit the graves of famous people buried here, such as: - Clergy – Cardinal Aleksander Kakowski - Politicians – Roman Dmowski - Artists – Mieczysław Fogg, Henryk Jerzy Chmielewski (“Papcio Chmiel”), Stanisław Staszewski (“Tata Kazika”), Jerzy “Duduś” Matyszkiewicz, Łucja Prus - Athletes – Grzegorz Skrzecz, Waldemar Marszałek - Actors – Andrzej Stockinger, Marian Glinka, Barbara Rylska - Travelers – Tony Halik - Mafiosi – Dziad, Wariat and Mrówa and safecrackers – Stanisław Cichocki - Journalists, soldiers, Roma - and many, many, many others… You are welcome! 🗓️ Sunday, August 26 | 11:00 AM–1:30 PM 📍 Start: ul. św.
