At noon join a walk through a charming small town located at the foot of the Royal Castle. We will learn about two faces of Mariensztat: the new and the old. We will also visit a very interesting fragment of my native Powiśle. Here is how Konstanty Ildefons Gałczyński beautifully wrote about Mariensztat in the poem "Mariensztackie szaleństwo":
MARIENSZTAT IS MY INSPIRATION,
MARIENSZTAT IS PRECIOUS STONES,
IN MARIENSZTAT YOU WILL MEET A WARSAW
MORE BEAUTIFUL THAN A DREAM.
During the walk we will learn, among other things:
Start: 14.02 (Sunday), 12:00, at St. Anne's Church on Krakowskie Przedmieście.
Duration of the tour: about 90 minutes.
End: Mariensztat Market Square
The walk will be led by KASIA - a licensed Warsaw guide and a native Varsovian. Tel. 505 023 782 Participation in the walk is free, but a tip will be welcome after the walk. We gently remind you that we put a huge amount of substantive and documentary work into preparing the walk so that it is as attractive as possible for you.
