On October 22, 2025, at 4:00 PM in the Baszkiewicz Auditorium, WNPiSM, Central Campus of the University of Warsaw, there will be a meeting with Alex Storozynski – an American journalist of Polish descent, Pulitzer Prize winner, author, and Chairman of the Board of the Kosciuszko Foundation. Meeting topic: "You Can't Cheat Your Genes: Secrets of a Polish Family's Fight Against Nazis and Communists and the Future of Polish-American Relations" Who is our guest? Alex Storozynski was born in Brooklyn to a family of Polish military spies who fought against Nazis and Communists. In 1985, he came to Poland, where, as a scholarship holder at the University of Warsaw, he conducted research on freedom of speech. He was surveilled and interrogated by the Security Service, then declared an enemy of the state and banned from entering Poland. After returning to the USA, he succeeded as a journalist, publishing in leading American newspapers. As Chairman of the Board of the Kosciuszko Foundation, he helped raise millions of dollars for scholarships for Poles and Americans of Polish descent.
