Wielka Sowa and Ślęża along the archaeo trail [2 KGP peaks with a mountain guide]
A trip to the Sudetes to climb two peaks for the Crown of Polish Mountains – Wielka Sowa (1015 m above sea level) and Ślęża (718 m above sea level). From the observation tower on Wielka Sowa we will admire the panorama of the Central Sudetes, and in good visibility we will see the Giant Mountains and Wrocław. During the walk on Ślęża we will encounter traces of sun cult and mysterious stone statues.
The trip is led by a mountain guide. The trip ends with lunch at the Dom Turysty under Wieżyca; beer lovers will be able to purchase products from a local brewery.

Meeting point in Warsaw at the stop at ul. Emilii Plater 47.

Meeting at 01:30; on the way we will pick up participants from Łódź — meeting at 03:15 at the BP station ul. Kątna 1.
In the early morning a breakfast break near Świdnica, transfer to Rzeczka and a hike in the Owl Mountains. We will ascend to the highest peak – Wielka Sowa (1015 m above sea level) via the red trail, a scenic route; in favorable conditions we will see the Giant Mountains with Śnieżka. We will descend via the blue trail to the parking lot at Przełęcz Walimska.
Distance: about 6 km (about 3 hours including breaks), elevation gain +283 m / -270 m.
From Przełęcz Walimska transfer to Przełęcz Tąpadła, then a crossing of the Ślęża massif via the yellow trail. We will reach the summit of Ślęża (718 m above sea level) — at the top there is a church with an observation tower, the ruins of a Piast castle and the Dom Turysty PTTK named after Roman Zmorski. We will see cult sculptures, including the Bear, the Maiden with a Fish and the Monk.
Distance: about 9 km (about 3 hours including short breaks), elevation gain +353 m / -436 m.

Return: to Łódź about 19:30, to Warsaw about 21:30.
