About the event

One-day trip to the Silesian Beskids – a mountain hike with an ascent to Skrzyczne (1257 m a.s.l.), included in the Crown of Polish Mountains, and for skiers, over 23 kilometers of slopes at Szczyrk Mountain Resort. Hiking with a mountain guide. PROGRAM Meeting times and places: 🕒 - 01:15 – meeting in Warsaw, bus stop at 47 Emilii Plater St. - 03:30 – meeting in Łódź, BP station at 1 Kątna St. - 05:00 – meeting in Częstochowa, Crab station at 81 Gościnna St. In the morning, a breakfast break, transfer to Salmopol Pass (934 m a.s.l.), from where the hiking group will set off with a mountain guide on the trail, and skiers will go to Szczyrk Mountain Resort in Szczyrk, one of the largest ski resorts in Poland. Located in the Silesian Beskids on the slopes of Małe Skrzyczne (1211 m a.s.l.) and Wierch Pośredni (1000 m a.s.l.). The resort has over 23 kilometers of varied ski runs (including 5 km illuminated), so every fan of winter sports will find something for themselves here. Hikers will follow the red trail to Malinowska Skała (1152 m a.s.l.), then the green trail along the highest ridge of the Silesian Beskids. After passing Małe Skrzyczne (1211 m a.s.l.), they will reach the highest peak, Skrzyczne (1257 m a.s.l.), included in the Crown of Polish Mountains. At the summit, besides the characteristic 87-meter-high RTV transmitter mast, there is the PTTK "Na Skrzycznem" mountain hut, where we will take a break. We will admire the panorama of the area and descend the green trail to Szczyrk. Distance to cover: approx. 13.5 km (about 7 hours), total ascent: 482 m, total descent: 891 m. The course of the hike depends on the weather and the group's pace and may change. After the hike, a lunch break, return times: 🕒 - 19:15 – return to Częstochowa, Crab station at 81 Gościnna St. - 21:00 – return to Łódź, BP station at 1 Kątna St. - 23:00 – return to Warsaw, bus stop at 47 Emilii Plater St. NOTE: The skiing option depends on snow conditions; if there are no conditions, everyone will hike – the organizer reserves the right to change/shorten hiking routes during the event depending on the weather.
