About the event

We warmly invite you to an author meeting with Jakub Ciećkiewicz about his book “Escape to Tangier in the Kingdom of Morocco. A Road Novel”.



Morocco has fascinated Jakub Ciećkiewicz for years. He returns there often, experiencing the country from within, mainly thanks to contacts and friendships with Moroccans. He is a careful observer and an open-minded romantic. The fruit of these experiences is his book “Escape to Tangier in the Kingdom of Morocco” (Austeria Publishing). For an excerpt of this road novel, the author received an honorable mention in the Siegfried Lenz International Literary Competition (2025) – writes Elżbieta Lisowska from Radio Kraków.



During the meeting we will talk about the author’s personal view of the Kingdom of Morocco and the meaning of travel.
