GT/Art Music Presents: MILES DAVIS DAY! Iconic Kind of Blue and Tutu live! Join us for a unique evening dedicated to the jazz legend – Miles Davis. You'll hear two groundbreaking albums: the lyrical and iconic Kind of Blue and the "electric" Tutu in a new, concert version! Additionally, before the concert, we invite you to the PSJ Stage, where under the guidance of Piotr Majewski, conductor Jarosław Praszczałek along with young artists from the Big Band will showcase their musical activities! Throughout the evening, there will also be a vinyl record fair! Nowogrodzka 11, Warsaw 🎟️ TICKETS: 50 PLN (pre-sale) | 60 PLN (on the day of the concert) ABOUT THE ARTIST: RAFAŁ DUBICKI is an outstanding trumpeter collaborating with many Polish and international artists, such as Ray Wilson & Genesis Orchestra, Alex Band Aleksandra Maliszewskiego, Eljaz Big Band, Pendofsky, Patrycja Markowska, and Michał Sołtan. He is a graduate of the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in the Department of Jazz and Popular Music in Bydgoszcz. In his work, he strives to show that jazz music is not just for the elite and that every listener can find something in it that touches their heart. Online, you can also find pop music pieces that Rafał Dubicki flawlessly performs on his beloved trumpet. Among the accolades Rafał Dubicki has received in his career, it is worth mentioning the special award at the European Musical Integrations 2011 and the main trophy in the big band competition in 2015 in Nowy Tomyśl. In 2019, the artist recorded his original album “Story About Emotions,” released by Soltan Art Group. The collaboration between the artists began after Rafał moved to Warsaw, where he met Michał Sołtan during jam sessions. The trumpeter's second album, "Shadow On The Space," was released in June 2021. Big Band ZPSM No. 1 in Warsaw was established in 2019. It consists of students, graduates, and teachers of the State Music Schools Complex No. 1 in Warsaw. The young artists have performed at the National Philharmonic in Warsaw, the Witold Lutosławski Chamber Philharmonic in Łomża, and numerous cultural centers in the Mazovia region. The formation has participated in improvisational music workshops led by performers such as Fred Wesley, Regiment Horns (Justin Timberlake's horn section), Carlos Botello, and Gniewomir Tomczyk. In June this year, the band's debut album "New Honey" was released, featuring guest appearances by Dawid Lubowicz.
