The band was formed to present the music of Jan “Ptaszyn” Wróblewski to the audience in a new guise, with a new leader of the old quartet. Its lineup has always featured artists well known from the jazz scene, unquestioned masters in their specialties.
The musicians have long-standing collaborations with Ptaszyn in their careers. The youngest: Andrzej Święs – 18 years; Marcin Jahr – 30; Wojciech Niedziela – over 40; Henryk Miśkiewicz – over half a century of cooperation with Ptaszyn. Compositions known from Ptaszyn’s quartet performances, interpreted by Henryk Miśkiewicz, acquire a new dimension — melodic and joyful, a tribute in a new form.
