Who is this training for? For dentists who want to improve the quality and aesthetic results of their composite restorations in the anterior segment. Both the more basic ones (class III, IV, and V) and the more advanced ones (natural composite veneers or aesthetic reconstructions). This course will help you master the difficult art of working with composite material in the aesthetic zone. During this training, you will learn how to perform restorations that visually are as close as possible to the patient's natural teeth. You will find out how to perform reconstructions in such a way that no one would ever suspect that a dentist has touched that tooth. Over three days, you will learn how to solve all the most typical problems related to anterior restorations. You will learn how to properly restore class III, IV, and V cavities, how to make a natural composite veneer matched to the patient's remaining teeth, and how to perform a full-arch aesthetic reconstruction using composite. We will thoroughly discuss the qualification stage for the procedure, aesthetic analysis, patient communication, and cooperation with the technician. You will also learn the basics of dental photography, which is an essential skill in aesthetic dentistry procedures. This is the perfect training for all dentists sensitive to natural aesthetics who want to tie their professional future to aesthetic dentistry, especially those focusing on minimally invasive solutions. After this course, all the biggest nightmares of aesthetic dentists, such as masking the enamel-dentin junction, proper shade selection, or achieving the desired translucency effect, will no longer be a problem for you! Due to the focus on minimally invasive solutions and the high level of detail in the work performed, participants have access to dental microscopes during the practical part of the course. What will I learn in the training? - how to communicate with the technician – planning a new smile according to the doctor's guidelines, how to assess a wax-up created in the lab - how to effectively communicate with the patient – discussing the treatment plan, managing patient expectations - how to plan and prepare for work – silicone indexes, 2D map, color map of the restoration - perfect isolation of the operative field in the anterior segment - how to predictably select the color of composite material when restoring class III, IV, and V cavities and making composite veneers - how to achieve the effect of an invisible filling – eliminating the visible enamel-composite junction - how to consistently perform a full-arch aesthetic reconstruction using composite – direct technique and layered technique combined with flow injection Theoretical part Day 1 Instructor: Dr. Agata Kotowska-Jamny The first day is devoted to acquiring the basics necessary for working with composite in the anterior segment. We start with the proper selection of instruments, discussing the principles of preparation, field isolation, and adhesion. On this day, you will learn how to work with a silicone index and perform restorations of class III, IV, and V cavities. This day is an introduction that will allow us to build the foundation for further work on more advanced techniques. - instruments – burs, tools, brushes, matrices, and composites – what really works? - isolation – single tooth vs split dam - preparation – principles of preparing class III, IV, and V cavities - how to remove old composite from tooth surfaces? Adhesion – from basic to advanced (lecture) - non-carious lesions - composite repair - challenges – fluorosis, bleached teeth, and decontamination Isolation of the operative field (practice) - single tooth isolation - split dam isolation First steps with the silicone index (practice) - planning, making, and trimming indexes needed for restoration Restoration of class III cavity – full procedural protocol (practice) Restoration of class IV cavity – full procedural protocol (practice) Restoration of class V cavity – full procedural protocol (practice) Days 2 and 3 Instructor: Dr. Bartłomiej Załęski The second and third days are intensive, practical work on a full natural-style aesthetic reconstruction. We will discuss dental photography and aesthetic analysis, as well as how to plan the entire restoration. Then we move on to practical classes – you will learn how to close a diastema and perform a full aesthetic reconstruction – six composite veneers. You will learn two restoration techniques: Natural Layering (hybrid method – layered technique with flow injection) and Deep Fake Optics (freehand layering technique). - Silicone indexes – why do we need them and how to make them correctly? (lecture) - Patient qualification for direct reconstructions – when yes, when no (lecture) - Principles of smile aesthetics (online lecture) - different concepts - facts and myths - Dental photography (lecture) - which photos are necessary for proper aesthetic analysis - Planning the procedure in the aesthetic zone (lecture) - 2D design (lecture) - measurements - templates - use of composite in orthodontics - Visualization of treatment effects – working with a mock-up (lecture) - Use of wax-up (lecture) - silicone indexes – standard, reduction, and transparent - isolation - Morphology of anterior teeth in macro and micro view (online lecture) - anatomical details – what to pay special attention to - Light analysis and its impact on the aesthetic aspect of the restoration (online lecture) - color – what makes up its perception? - Selection of composite for a given clinical case (lecture) - Various restorative techniques in the anterior segment (lecture) - layered technique - hybrid method – layered technique and flow injection - Composite polishing (lecture) - Dental photography – which photos do we need (practice) - exercises in taking repeatable photos needed for aesthetic analysis - planning the scope of the procedure - discussing the treatment plan with the patient - Working with the silicone index (practice) - planning, making, and properly trimming 3 types of indexes used for different restoration stages - Making 6 composite veneers in the aesthetic segment (13-23) (practice) - initial restoration of 6 teeth using the layered technique - restoration of 3 teeth in one quadrant using the hybrid method – previously performed layered technique + flow injection - restoration of 3 teeth in the other quadrant using the direct modeling method - creating micro and macrostructure in all performed reconstructions - final polishing of the work Lecturer: Dr. Bartłomiej Załęski Graduated from the Medical University of Białystok in 2012. He is the author of lectures and workshops, both domestic and international, on adhesive dentistry, occlusion, and modern digital techniques for working with composite materials. He is the publisher of the book – atlas "Posterior Teeth Morphology," which facilitates mastering restorative techniques using composite material. He regularly participates in many international specialist dental trainings and discussion groups. In his practice, he mainly deals with aesthetic tooth reconstruction using direct and indirect methods, utilizing the latest solutions in digital restorative dentistry. Dr. Agata Kotowska-Jamny Graduate of the Medical University of Wrocław. She specializes in restorative treatment using minimally invasive and biomimetic techniques, focused on preserving natural tooth tissues and recreating their structure with composite materials. In her daily practice, she combines manual precision with the principles of aesthetics and function, striving for the most natural results. She regularly attends trainings and conferences in Poland and abroad, developing her skills in modern direct restoration techniques. She is guided by the belief that modern restorative dentistry combines science, art, and respect for natural tooth structures. Each participant is provided with: - an individual, fully equipped workstation - a small group enabling direct contact with the lecturer - all materials necessary for practical classes - lunch and coffee breaks - all participants receive invoices - all participants receive diplomas
