About the event

During the meeting we will read excerpts from the book Byłobyśbyło* and do several literary exercises focused on using other people’s texts when writing your own poetry.

We will also talk about “building a house from quotes,” using excerpts from Sara Ahmed’s book Living a Feminist Life.**

There will also be an opportunity to buy a copy of the book Byłobyśbyło.

Place: Lending Library for Adults and Youth No. 51 – “Traveler’s Club”, ul. M. Bielskiego 3, Warsaw.



Information about the venue and accessibility:



  • The library is located in a standalone pavilion.
  • The entrance to the building is at sidewalk level and leads through the entrance door into a vestibule. Then another door leads directly into the branch interior.
  • Both the exterior and interior doors are 88 cm wide and are opened manually. The exterior door has a 2 cm-high threshold.
  • Just behind the entrance door there is a vestibule with doors leading to the branch interior.
  • The space in the vestibule is sufficient to allow people using wheelchairs to maneuver freely.
  • There are no stairs inside the building – all rooms are on one level.
  • A parking space for people with mobility disabilities is located near the building at ul. Marcina Bielskiego 2; there is no such space in the parking lot directly in front of the building.
  • The toilet is partially adapted for wheelchair users. It does not have an alarm device.
  • The branch is equipped with an induction loop to assist hearing.
  • Assistance dogs are allowed.
