COLLAGE ON CERAMICS - graphic composition and possibilities of underglaze technique in ceramics.

As a ceramic artist and graphic designer, I invite you to a collage — a graphic composition and the possibilities offered by the underglaze technique in ceramics.

You will learn:

• methods of masking
• ceramic stamps
• creating gradients
• transferring screen-printing transfers
• direct printing on ceramics using serigraphy
• freehand painting with ceramic paints, pastels and pencils

In addition: what collage is and how important color and composition are in design.

During the workshop we decorate a large plate, which at the end we glaze and leave to be fired at a temperature appropriate for tableware. The plate will be fully usable. Collection the following week, after the weekend.

The workshops will be led by Natalia Urbaniak (mnustwo) — founder and owner of Z10.STUDIO, graphic designer and print specialist, member of the Association of Applied Graphic Artists, working for years in the publishing and design market, a ceramics enthusiast for over 20 years, and for 5 years also an instructor at Z10 and Dom Kultury Praga. Academic lecturer (Ceramics Postgraduate WSG).

She reconciled her love of graphics and ceramics, among others, in the graphic project of a tea set for Polskie Zakłady Porcelany Ćmielów (1st place) and by designing and preparing the book "Glina: rzemiosło i sztuka" (Warsaw 2024) for print.
