Trip to the Sudetes to conquer two peaks for the Crown of Polish Mountains – Wielka Sowa (1015 m a.s.l.) and Ślęża (718 m a.s.l.). From the observation tower on Wielka Sowa, we will admire the panorama of the Central Sudetes, and with good visibility, we will see the Karkonosze and Wrocław. During the hike on Ślęża, we will be accompanied by traces of solar worship and mysterious stone statues. The trip will end with lunch at the Tourist House under Wieżyca, and beer lovers will be able to purchase products from a local brewery. Trip with a mountain guide. PROGRAM - Meeting in Warsaw at the bus stop at ul. Emilii Plater 47 at 01:30, on the way we will pick up participants from Łódź – meeting at 03:15 at the BP station, ul. Kątna 1. - In the morning, breakfast break near Świdnica, transfer to Rzeczka and hiking in the Owl Mountains. - We will ascend the highest peak, Wielka Sowa (1015 m a.s.l.), included in the Crown of Polish Mountains, via the red trail. The route is scenic, and if conditions allow, we will see not only the panorama of the area but also the Karkonosze with the prominent Śnieżka. We will descend via the blue trail to the parking lot at Walimska Pass. - Distance to cover approx. 6 km (about 3 hours – including breaks), elevation gain +283 m/-270 m. - From Walimska Pass, we will go to Tąpadła Pass, from where we will cross the entire Ślęża massif via the yellow trail. We will reach the summit of Ślęża (718 m a.s.l.), also included in the Crown of Polish Mountains. At the summit, there is a church with a viewing tower, in whose basement are the ruins of a Piast castle from the 12th century and the PTTK Tourist House named after Roman Zmorski from 1908. Near the church is a reinforced concrete observation tower. We will also see the most recognizable cult sculpture from the Lusatian culture period – the Bear. - Despite its relatively low absolute height, the Ślęża massif has an impressive silhouette due to its significant relative height (over 500 meters). - We will continue hiking along the yellow trail, passing other sculptures such as the Maiden with Fish and the Monk. Through Dębowa Pass, we will reach Wieżyca (415 m a.s.l.), where the 15-meter-high Bismarck Tower, built of granite in 1907 as a viewpoint, is located. - From Wieżyca, we will descend to the Tourist House, where we will have lunch and proceed to the parking lot. - Distance to cover approx. 9 km (about 3 hours – including short breaks), elevation gain +353 m/-436 m. - Return to Łódź at 19:30, to Warsaw at 21:30. 🗓️ PRICE: 299 PLN - from Warsaw, 269 PLN - from Łódź, 15% discount for children up to 16 years old.
