Inauguration of the 5th International Bemowo Organ Festival
We are very pleased to invite you to the first concert of the 5th edition of the International Bemowo Organ Festival. Traditionally, the festival opens with a special meeting of generations — a concert in the “Master and Student” series, which has become a permanent part of the identity of the Bemowo Organ Festival.
The master–student relationship has for centuries been a foundation of artistic training. It transmits knowledge, experience and sensitivity, but it is also a dialogue, inspiration and a joint search for musical truth. During this evening we will hear how this relationship resonates in the sounds of the organ.
In the role of master will be Piotr Rachoń, an outstanding organist, pedagogue and authority in the world of organ music. He will be accompanied by his pupils — Franciszek Szmyd and Leon Szymański — young artists who are successfully developing their musical paths, drawing on their teacher’s experience.

The organ at the Parish of the Mother of God stands out on the map of Warsaw and the Mazovia region; its complexity allows it to continually surprise the listener with variety and power of sound. An additional advantage of the concerts is a choir loft camera which, combined with a projector, allows the audience to observe the performer at the console. The spoken introduction during concerts contains the most important information for the listener, selected curiosities and pointers on what to pay attention to when listening to the work.
The festival is under the patronage of Bishop Rafał Markowski, and received financial support from the Bemowo District Office of the Capital City of Warsaw. We cordially invite all lovers of organ music and beautiful musical gatherings.
