The Aleksandrovskaya Citadel swallowed the Piarist estate of Joli Bord, imprisoned the barracks of the Crown Foot Guard in its bowels, and destroyed the lushly developing green, villa-palace district of Fawory! I will tell the story of the Citadel through the mouths of its prisoners, in what conditions they lived, how they were interrogated? Who could have a comb, and who a watch?
