Ladies and Gentlemen! I invite you to a walk through Śródmieście, during which I will talk about broadly understood legends, those urban ones called "urban legends" in youth slang, but also about people, conspiracy theories, and various paranormal activities straight out of The X-Files. We will also debunk myths about Warsaw. 📅 Date: 27.09.2025 ⏰ Time: 10:00 📍 Meeting point: Main entrance to the Palace of Culture and Science – Plac Defilad 1. 📍 Ending point: In front of the Blue Skyscraper at Plac Bankowy. ⏳ Duration: about 1.5 hours. 💰 Cost: Pay what you wish. What will we talk about (among other things)? - Is there a tunnel under the Palace of Culture leading to the party headquarters? - The antics and character of Wieniawa-Długoszowski. - Who was the mysterious figure strolling down Chmielna Street? - We will delve into the biography of Maria Konopnicka and debunk the myth of the obedient woman writing fairy tales for children. - Where did Masonic meetings take place? - What was the deal with the rabbis' curse? There will, of course, be more stories. The walk is led by me – Aleksandra Wiak: Warsaw guide, graduate of Varsavian studies, and author of the Facebook and Instagram profile: Around the Capital and the World. Dear tour participant, There are countless ways to reward your guide. A smile, loud applause, kind words Throw a few (or a dozen) złoty into the hat, and it will be awesome.
