I invite you to participate in a 6-week group for experiencing and exploring the topic of boundaries in the psychosomatic Bodynamic approach. In an intimate group of up to 6 people, over the following weeks we will expand our awareness of boundaries and build our own boundaries based on our needs. Boundaries in our lives develop with our age, cognitive abilities, consent from our environment, experiences… However, sometimes, despite understanding this word in adulthood, it turns out that in certain situations we lack competence in this area and find it difficult to build them. Sometimes it is a difficulty at the level of understanding or beliefs about boundaries – what they are, what their role and function is. Sometimes they are perceived as a thick wall separating us like a fortress or as selfishness. Sometimes there is a lack of understanding around what we build them for or from what place – e.g. emotions. I invite you to look at boundaries not as a wall, but as a transparent bubble wall that helps distinguish where I am and where you are, what is "me" and what is not. What is mine physically, emotionally? How close do I want to let other people get to me, how much information do I want to share, while at the same time allowing myself to be in contact with others and letting myself connect with them. The Bodynamic somatic psychotherapy approach divides boundaries into categories: - Physical boundaries - Personal space boundaries - Territorial boundaries - Social boundaries - Creating space for oneself in social interactions And it is according to this order that we will proceed during the "this is my space" cycle. Boundaries, just like a child's body, develop with age. We acquire the ability to control precise movements, abduct our arms, or purposefully extend a hand. There is also a growing understanding of oneself – separation from the mother, the right to one's own statements, values, and norms… As we age, our body also develops, which can be our ally in building competence in the area of setting boundaries. Noticing how strongly or subtly they are set. Where does the strength of someone's "no" come from, even with a calm voice? And what stands behind that calm yet audible "no". I invite you to explore these topics and experience them through your mind and body. What you need during meetings: - Comfortable clothes - Water - If you wish, something to take notes of your thoughts What we will do: - Experience your body, breath, contact with the ground and with your body - Practice in pairs, trios - Share experiences in small groups and sometimes in the forum - Practice setting and respecting others' boundaries Can I participate in the group alongside my individual therapy? Yes, absolutely. This group is a practice group – we focus here on experiencing and building competence in the here and now. ✨ When: 6 Thursdays from November 6 to December 11, from 19:30 to 22:00.
