Tei Shi stays true to her independent path, as proven by her new album “Make Believe I Make Believe”. On February 26th, the artist will perform at Warsaw's VooDoo club, where you’ll hear her original blend of alt-pop and R&B! Hiding behind the pseudonym Tei Shi, Valerie Barbosa is a Colombian-Canadian artist who debuted with her music in 2013. She caught attention with two excellent EPs - “Saudade” and “Verde”, which featured her biggest hit “Bassically”. Grimes called it one of the best pop tracks of the first half of the 21st century, and soon after, Tei Shi opened concerts for acts like Years & Years, Jungles, and made her mark on stages at festivals such as Coachella and Electric Forest. Her first two full-length albums, “Crawl Space” and “La Linda”, were released under the Downtown label, with which she later ended her collaboration. The hardships she encountered in the music industry inspired Tei Shi, who asserted her independence in the best possible way—by self-releasing the excellent album “Valerie”. This year, she keeps the momentum going, and on August 29th, her new album “Make Believe I Make Believe” will be released, which she’ll bring to Poland for her only concert in our country at the end of February!
