Freshman Challenge - Beginners' Tournament - Edition II!

Are you starting your journey with tournaments? You’ve come to the right place! The Freshman Challenge is an event created especially for people who are just taking their first steps into the world of competition. It's all about fun, meeting others and gaining new skills. No stress, no pressure — just good fun!

• Shooters Pool Club (ul. Powsińska 44, Warsaw)

📅 When?

• Saturdays every 2 weeks from 12:30
• Tournaments will take place at Shooters club at ul. Powsińska 44 in Warsaw from 16:00 on Saturdays every 2 weeks, starting on August 23.

📍 Where?
Shooters Club, ul. Powsińska 44, Warsaw

Game format:

• Play in the 8-ball variant.
• Each tournament: group stage and knockout stage. Groups are assigned randomly; number of frames to win: group stage up to 2 wins, knockout stage no fewer than 2 winning frames (exact number depends on time).
• Advancement from the group: the top two places. In ties the rules apply in order: head-to-head (small table points), frame difference in matches between the tied players (small table frames), frame difference in all group matches (large table frames).
• In the first round of the knockout stage group winners will be seeded; second places drawn according to the scheme A1–C2, B1–D2, C1–A2, D1–B2. With higher turnout additional groups and a knockout round are possible.
• The winner of a single tournament automatically qualifies for the Masters tournament (after 16 events) and thus loses the right to participate in the remaining qualifying tournaments.

Participation conditions (who cannot start):

• former and current players of the 1st and 2nd Polish Billiard League and the Extra League,
• experienced amateurs,
• players who have played in the final of local competitions more than once (not including the Freshman Challenge),
• players who have won a tournament (excluded from participation as beginners).

• Via the tournament page on the cuescore portal or by SMS to 517 648 279 until 15:00 on the tournament day.

💰 Entry fee:
50 zł.

Prizes:

Single tournament:

• 1st place: a trophy and a voucher for 2 hours of billiards play
• 2nd place: a voucher for 2 hours of billiards play

Masters tournament (after 16 events):

• 1st place: trophy + silver subscription for a month of play at Shooters club
• 2nd place: trophy + a 200 zł voucher to the Shooters billiard shop
• 3rd place: trophy + a voucher for 5 hours of play at Shooters pool club

Additional information and rules:

• The organiser reserves the right to cancel the tournament after prior notification to the players.
• The organiser reserves the right to change the rules and to refuse entry to intoxicated persons or those behaving contrary to the club regulations.
• There is a strict ban on alcohol consumption in the club.
• The participant accepts the regulations and agrees to the processing of image and personal data for marketing purposes of Shooters Club and Black Ball Events.
