Świeżak Challenge - beginners' tournament - Edition II!

Are you starting your adventure with tournaments? You came to the right place! Świeżak Challenge is an event created especially for people who are just taking their first steps in the world of competition. Here, fun, socializing and gaining new skills matter.

No stress, no pressure – just good fun!

We prepared attractive prizes, including a monthly game subscription for the winner of the Masters tournament!

You will meet new friends who, like you, are just starting out.

When? Saturdays every 2 weeks from 12:30.

Where? Shooters Club, ul. Powsińska 44, Warsaw.

• 1. Organizer
  • Klub bilardowy Shooters, ul. Powsińska 44, Warszawa
  • Black Ball Events

• 2. Date and place
  • The tournaments will take place at the Shooters club at ul. Powsińska 44 in Warsaw.
  • Time: from 16:00 on Saturdays every 2 weeks, starting from August 23.
  • The organizer reserves the right to cancel a tournament in exceptional situations after informing the players in advance.

• 3. Game system
  • Variant: 8-ball.
  • Each tournament consists of a group stage and a knockout stage. Players will be assigned to groups randomly; group sizes depend on the number of participants.
  • Group stage: matches to 2 winning frames.
  • Knockout stage: number of frames determined depending on time remaining until the end of the tournament, but not less than 2 winning frames.
  • 3.2.1 Rules for advancing from the group:
    • The top two places from each group advance to the knockout stage.
    • If two players have the same number of wins, the higher place is decided by the head-to-head result.
    • If three or more players have the same number of wins, places are decided in order by:
      • a) direct matches between the players (points – small table),
      • b) frame difference in matches between those players (frames – small table),
      • c) frame difference in all matches in the group (frames – large table).
    • In the first round of the knockout stage, group winners will be seeded. Players in second places will be drawn according to the scheme: A1 – C2, B1 – D2, C1 – A2, D1 – B2.
    • In case of higher turnout, players will be drawn into a larger number of groups with an additional knockout round.
    • The winner of a single tournament automatically qualifies for the Masters tournament, played after the completion of 16 events, and thus loses the right to participate in the remaining qualifying tournaments.

• 4. Participation conditions
  • Beginners may participate in the tournament after paying the entry fee, excluding:
  • former and current players of the 1st and 2nd Polish Billiards League and the Ekstraliga,
  • experienced amateurs,
  • players who have played in the final of local competitions more than once (excluding the Świeżak Challenge),
  • players who have won a tournament.

• 5. Registration
  • Registration is via the tournament page on the cuescore portal or by SMS to 517 648 279 until 15:00 on the tournament day.

• 6. Entry fee
  • The entry fee for the tournament is 50 zł.

• 7. Prizes
  • Single tournament:
    • 1st place: trophy and a voucher for 2 hours of billiards play,
    • 2nd place: voucher for 2 hours of billiards play.
  • Additionally, there are prizes in the Masters tournament:
    • 1st place: trophy + silver subscription for one month of play at Shooters club,
    • 2nd place: trophy + voucher for 200 zł to the Shooters billiard store,
    • 3rd place: trophy + voucher for 5 hours of play at Shooters billiard club.

• 8. Additional provisions
  • Matters not regulated by these rules are decided by the organizer.
  • The organizer reserves the right to change the regulations.
  • The club has a strict ban on alcohol consumption.
  • The organizer reserves the right to refuse entry to intoxicated persons or those behaving in a manner inconsistent with the club rules.
  • A tournament participant accepts the regulations and agrees to the processing of their image and personal data for marketing purposes of Klub Shooters and Black Ball Events.
