Workshop: CABINET/TABLE 14–15 MARCH

Two-day, intimate workshop covering the basics of furniture restoration.

During this meeting we will focus on small functional furniture: TABLE / NIGHTSTAND.

The weekend workshop plan combines theory + practice — you will learn the basics of restoring vintage furniture. We will discuss tools and materials used in traditional carpentry.

🗓️ WHEN? 14–15 March (10:00–20:00)

💰 WHAT AND FOR HOW MUCH? 20 hours of workshops + materials required to perform a full furniture restoration → 850 zł

WORKSHOP FORMAT:

The participant chooses the piece of furniture they want to work on. If you don’t have your own piece, that’s not a problem — the instructor’s storage is bursting with design gems.

WORKSHOP PLAN:

• 1. Discussion of safety rules, determination of the scope and details of work on the piece.
• 2. Disassembly — discussion of historical construction techniques of the disassembled objects.
• 3. Carpentry work:
  • removal of old coatings (we will talk about which coatings can be removed and how)
  • repair of the structure: gluing / reinforcement
  • filling in losses / veneer inserts
  • retouching damage / inserts
  • staining / finishing the furniture structure
• 4. Cleaning metal elements: fittings, locks, screws.
• 5. Assembly.
