UPHOLSTERY WORKSHOP: 21–22 MARCH
About the event
Two-day upholstery workshop.
We will focus on upholstered elements. Together we will finish a started chair or armchair project. Or maybe we will make a headboard together? Let’s dive into upholstery!
Where: Kraków, ul. Królewska 14 — furniture restoration studio Daniel Stoiński Redesign
When: 21–22 March, 10:00–18:00
Cost: 850 zł (16 workshop hours + necessary upholstery materials). Own fabric; it is possible to order fabric for the workshop.
Workshop plan:
- The scope of upholstery work will be tailored individually for each participant.
- Discussion and execution of new supporting/springing surfaces (straps / rigid base / springs).
- Selection of appropriate padding layers (we will talk about types of fillings: natural fibers of animal or plant origin, moltroprene fillings, etc.).
- Fabric selection, calculation of required material. You will learn how to properly cut a perfectly fitted pattern for your furniture’s new cover.
- Preparation, sewing and upholstering of covering elements (lots of theory and practice).
