Stage Anarchy - alternative improvised theatre (practical workshop)

On stage we can do what the conventions of everyday life do not allow.
We can do something that the greyness of the adult world tries to take from us - play. And at the same time entertain others.
Developing as improvisation actors, searching for tools and techniques, we may sometimes accidentally lose “that something”. The ability to seek playfulness.
Playfulness.
Sometimes, to find it, you need to forget the rules for a moment and shift assumptions. Move the foundations and change paradigms.
But “forget the rules” is a bit like “don’t think about the pink elephant”, right?
I invite you to an intensive theatrical improvisation workshop that will let you filter out contexts in order to consciously give yourself over to stage play. In abstraction and in concreteness. On stage and in life.
We will touch on topics such as:
- Focus on the word “theatre” within improvised theatre
- Organic movement, motion, dance
- Work with abstraction
- Conceptual work with elements of production
- Performance art
So if you want to develop interdisciplinarily in theatrical improvisation, this workshop is for you!
Basic theatrical improvisation skills are required, i.e. basic improv tools and stage presence ability.
ABOUT THE LEADER
Mateusz P. Barczyk – improviser, actor, psychologist, theatre pedagogue. Founder and head trainer at Trajektoria. Director at Teatr Trajektoria.
He worked for a while in a corporation because he didn’t believe there was another way. He loves art and loves teaching, so he teaches art. Graduate of theatre pedagogy at the University of Warsaw, psychology at Humanitas University and the art of writing at the University of Silesia.
He teaches theatre and psychology in English at the Private School Complex in Katowice. He works with theatres Off-Road, A Part, Lipny Barszcz and the “W Swoim Żywiole” Foundation. He writes and publishes in verse and prose.
