Guided tour of the permanent exhibition "Journeys to the East"

We invite you to a guided tour of the permanent exhibition “Journeys to the East”!

Host: Izabella Kośla-Śluzek, MAiP.

• The gallery is dedicated to Iran and the Arab countries of Southwest Asia, including the oldest artifact in the Museum’s collection — a foundation brick from Mesopotamia with a cuneiform inscription dated to the 21st century BCE.
• A hall devoted to Central Asia: a visitor route through Silk Road cities, bazaar arcades, nomadic craftwork, ceramics and costumes.
• An exhibition representing Mongolia: an original Mongolian herders’ yurt and objects related to the life and beliefs of local communities.
• An Indonesian collection: traditional weapons, costumes, a set of gamelan instruments, wayang theatre puppets, masks and clove-studded ships.
