Title: Songs of Polish Bakers — Mariusz Gołosz
    Description:
The story of two bakers who disappeared for completely unknown reasons. And yet they had employment contracts — what could have gone wrong? This is a musical tale about work in the form of a theatrical mockumentary. The concert version of “Songs...”, in which the actors create the soundtrack live to a story of artisanal exploitation, will let us enter the bakery behind the window where we can watch the brave, hard-working laborers.

A dark fairy tale about employers and employees — a reflection on work that gives a temporary sense of usefulness and just as quickly robs dignity. A fashionable bakery, for which long queues form for bread priced at 30 zł, ultimately proves to be a place that does not resist capitalist mechanisms. Should it be surprising that a glowing neon with a nice name does not mean labour law is observed? Or maybe socially conscious owners have blurred the real picture of physical work without sleep? And above all — how can rebellion function in a place that smells of bread?

    Fragment (utterance/scene):
"well everything was fine until they started doing nights themselves
half the block would gather under the bakery because they were playing some rap
I called it out once, twice
    do you think that helped?
    even more people came
    so finally I told them:
you're nice boys, you bake well
    but either rap or bread"
