About the event

Our Reporters is an ironic title. It is an invitation to a meeting built around the work of three figures: Rachela Auerbach, Perec Opoczyński and Bernard Singer, whose reportages were included in the Anthology of Polish Reportage of the 20th Century 100/XX edited by Mariusz Szczygieł.

After all, who were they really? And what caused them, despite their Jewish origin, to be included in an anthology with “Polish” in the title? Questions about identity are the ones we like most at the Jewish Theatre. Unobvious, difficult, and therefore so fascinating. Because what actually determines whether something is Polish or Jewish? Maybe it is simply ours?

The guest of the meeting on 24 March at 18:00 at Senatorska 35 will be Mariusz Szczygieł, the author of the aforementioned anthology, a reporter and the author of, among others, the Nike‑awarded Nie ma — which we staged in 2020.

The meeting will be hosted by Zuzanna Kluszczyńska.
