We invite you to the premiere of the book „You Don't Say Things Like That”.
This is an exceptional project combining Hanna Krall's narrative with drawings by Zbigniew Libera — one of the most important contemporary Polish artists. From this combination emerges an image of a world in which memory is both a duty and a curse. The book will be published on March 25 by Znak Literanova.
The meeting with Hanna Krall and Zbigniew Libera will be hosted by Mariusz Szczygieł. Fragments of the book „You Don't Say Things Like That” will be read by Magdalena Cielecka. The event is part of the "Book at the Museum" series.

About the book: A book for the brave. How to learn the truth that is difficult to ask about? Who interrogates Hanna Krall? Why is it precisely her who must file reports? "You Don't Say Things Like That" is an honest and intimate conversation that continues long after the book is closed and calls to be revisited.
- Hanna Krall — a Polish writer and reporter, author of, among others, the reportage "To Outrun God" ("Zdążyć przed Panem Bogiem") and the book "An Exceptionally Long Line"; her books have been published in more than a hundred translations, and she is the recipient of numerous distinctions.
- Zbigniew Libera — an outstanding Polish artist, creator of installations, photographer and performer; author of the work "Lego. Concentration Camp", in 2023 awarded the Cross of Freedom and Solidarity and the Officer's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta.
- Mariusz Szczygieł — reporter and writer, winner of the NIKE Award 2019 for "Nie ma" and the European Book Prize 2009 for "Gottland".
- Magdalena Cielecka — theatre and film actress, who has collaborated with prominent directors, associated with the Warsaw New Theatre.
