We are very fortunate — above all because of the people we meet along the way. This acting workshop offer is the result of such a fortunate meeting. Presenting the first, historic edition of a new format: RADIO THEATRE: WORKSHOPS FOR ACTORS.
This is a two-day, intensive acting workshop focused on how to create a role in front of a microphone: how to read and analyze a text in terms of character, how to build relationships in an audio play, how to drive emotions and action when you have no set, costume, or "visible" partner — everything takes place in the theatre of imagination.
The work focuses on acting (role, relationships, intentions, emotions, situation); speech technique, correctness of speech and articulation take a back seat. The microphone does not forgive falseness, but it also gives a huge freedom: you can build a character precisely, subtly and bravely — if you know how to run the process and how to listen to your partner, the rhythm of the scene and your own impulses. The result of the workshop is practical experience in creating an audio play: from the first reading and role assignment, through rehearsals and conclusions, to recording the whole piece.
This is actual acting work: with the text, with the team and with concrete acting tasks that in an audio play must operate on completely different principles than on stage or in front of a camera. Participants go through the full process: reading → character building → relationships → rehearsal → recording → playback → correction → re-recording.
