Do you enjoy handicrafts, can you sew by hand and have patience for detail? If you already have initial experience with embroidery and want to try bead embroidery, this workshop is for you!
Note: The workshop is not intended for beginners due to the fairly complex technique we will learn.
In the workshop you will learn:
The result of the workshop will be a brooch that can be used as an ornament for clothing (a sweater, jacket or coat) or as a pin for a scarf or bag.
All materials to make the brooch will be available on site.
Note: Embroidery is time-consuming. The workshop is an introduction to the technique and a walkthrough of the instructions for making the brooch. You may not finish your brooch during the session. We provide the option to continue working on the project under the instructor’s supervision during the monthly meeting 'Sploty i ploty' on Saturday, March 28 from 16:00 to 19:00.
The event is a neighborhood initiative organized thanks to the kindness of Małgorzata Sulej.
Instructor: Małgorzata Sulej – a handicraft enthusiast (decoupage, soutache, felting, beading) with experience running art workshops. Retired teacher from Zespół Szkół nr 31 im. Jana Kilińskiego (formerly the School Complex of Artistic Crafts) in Warsaw. She actively participates in craft group meetings across Warsaw.
For adults and youth 16+.
Note: Due to high interest and a limited number of places, in March we invite participation in a maximum of two events requiring registration.
