The "EMBROIDER YOURSELF!" project enters its most important phase – collective embroidery. It all started with a collection of photographs of residents of Wola. Private portraits were joined by exceptional photos from the archive of the Museum of Wola. From this rich material, Ewa Cieniak – artist and project animator – created a unique composition, which she transferred onto a large linen tablecloth. This tablecloth became a symbolic canvas of the community – a fabric where the past meets the present. The artist began the first stitches, initiating the collective work. Now, she invites everyone interested (regardless of experience or skills) to join the process. During the workshops, participants will not only learn the basics of embroidery but, most importantly, become part of a larger story about Wola and its residents. Each stitch is a personal gesture that contributes to collective memory and integrates into the fabric of the district. Now it's your turn! Soon – on October 4th – right after the opening of the "Older City" exhibition, the 17th edition of WARSAW UNDER CONSTRUCTION, the collective embroidery will begin. Don't miss it!
