We are delighted to invite you to a series of author meetings with Iida Turpeinen, the author of 'Living Beings,' who will visit two cities: Warsaw and Gdańsk. 'Living Beings' – a conversation with Iida Turpeinen! (translated by Sebastian Musielak) Turpeinen weaves a story of a three-century-long obsession: from its discovery in 1741, through 19th-century attempts to find remains, to 20th-century efforts at reconstruction. 'Living Beings' is a moving reflection on our relationship with nature and the desire to restore what has been irretrievably lost. It is a fascinating tale about Steller's sea cow — a species driven to extinction by humans in just a few decades. We hope you will join us! 📍 Warsaw, Big Book Cafe, ul.
