    About the event

We invite you to the literary club "Po Sąsiedzku"! 📅 When? September 10 (Wednesday) at 18:30 📍 Where? Zamenhofa Street 1, Warsaw 📖 Book: Tara Westover – "Educated" The discussion will take place in Polish and Ukrainian. Free entry. At the next meeting of the literary club, we will talk about a book that has amazed the world — Tara Westover's memoir "Educated." Imagine a girl who, until the age of 17, had never been to school, did not know her exact birth date, and lived isolated from civilization. Her father, a fanatic Mormon, considered doctors servants of the devil and forced his children to work in a car junkyard. And yet, despite the harsh reality, Tara finds the strength to break free from this world and earn a doctorate. This story is about the search for freedom, the struggle with the past, and the power of education that changes lives. Come to immerse yourself in the discussion and discover a story that leaves no one indifferent. We invite you to a meeting of our literary club. We gather twice a month at the Ukrainian House to talk about books we like. Our meetings usually last about two hours, during which everyone present can freely and easily express their thoughts about the chosen and read book. We speak in Polish and Ukrainian. Read, come, share your thoughts with us, and if you haven't read the book, come anyway. If you have any questions, write to the Ukrainian House library's Facebook or Instagram page. Also, subscribe to the literary club's Telegram channel: https://t.me/lit_klub_ud See you in the literary circle! Attention! During the meeting, photography will be conducted for reporting and marketing purposes. If you do not wish to be photographed, we recommend taking seats in the back rows of the hall.
