    About the event

The Museum of Warsaw Praga and the Witryna Foundation invite you to a workshop meeting dedicated to the history of the Ostrobramska Estate and Witolin. 📅 Thursday, November 27, 2025, 5:30–7:00 PM 📍 Museum of Warsaw Praga, 50/52 Targowa Street Host: Ewelina Bartosik The Grochów area is not only the history of Kibbutz Grochów. It is also the post-war history of Witolin and the Ostrobramska Estate. We want to tell the story of this place together with its residents and people who feel connected to this part of the city. We invite you to a meeting where we will view archival photos and tell the story of Witolin, listen to stories about what this place looked like in previous decades, how houses and blocks were built between Grochowska and Ostrobramska, and how this place has changed over the years. We encourage all interested persons to participate and to share memories, family keepsakes, and photos. If you would like to share memories and family photos from Witolin / Ostrobramska Estate, please contact: ewelina.bartosik@muzeumwarszawy.pl. The meeting will take place in the educational room (“Penthouse”), main building, 2nd floor. --------- Ewelina Bartosik – cultural anthropologist, trainer, social animator, researcher. She has carried out many animation and educational projects. She has experience in incorporating culture and art into work with communities and the identity of places. At the Museum of Warsaw Praga, she implements activities inviting residents to direct cooperation with the museum and develops events accompanying temporary exhibitions. The meeting is part of the Oral History Archive project run by the Museum of Warsaw Praga since 2008 and the Neighbourhoods cycle. “Neighbourhoods” are meetings during which we gather to hear the stories and tales of the small communities of Praga, Targówek, and Grochów. We are sure that cuisine and conversation complement each other perfectly. The meeting places are cultural institutions on the right bank, which daily carry out activities for and with the communities of this part of Warsaw. Dates of walks combined with culinary meetings: - November 22 (Saturday) 3:00–5:00 PM – Center for Culture and Local Activity (6 Siarczana Street) and Konopacki Palace - November 23 (Sunday) 3:00–5:00 PM – Rampa Theater and Arteneum (branch of the Świt Culture House) ℹ️ PRACTICAL INFORMATION When: 27.11 | 5:30–7:00 PM Museum of Warsaw Praga, 50/52 Targowa Street The meeting will take place in the educational room (“Penthouse”), main building, 2nd floor.
