BODYSCAPES Paweł Nocuń emi_art_warsaw ul. Emilii Plater 14 📅 vernissage: September 6, 2025, 6:00 PM 📅 exhibition: September 7 - 14 - Mon - Fri: 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM - Sat - Sun: 12:00 PM - 7:00 PM Photographic nudes served as my starting point for working on a cycle of paintings titled Bodyscapes. Framed in narrow American shots, women’s bodies became vertical landscapes. These are negatives that emerged from photographic positives through the painting process. My inspiration came from the curves, slenderness, and tensions of body lines. The creative gesture was expressed in the way forms were painted, in the composition, and particularly in the color that conveys emotions. Creative expression can invite one’s own interpretation.
