About the event
Are you interested in psychology? Do you value an environment of open, scientific discourse? And do you also like cats?
- Do you listen, nod, and leave without any concrete conclusion?
- Does the substance end up only in the corridors?
- Do you listen to monologues with no room for discussion?
- Are there invisible barriers between “younger” and “older” people so they don’t talk to each other?
Us too.
That’s why we want to do it differently. Welcome to the third edition of CATS!
CATS is a conference where:
- Content matters, not title and hunting for p values below 0.05
- Feedback and the development of ideas matter, not only points and certificates
We will meet in one space: students, doctoral students, academic staff, to jointly reflect on how we do science in psychology and related disciplines.
We are introducing an innovative system of individual feedback for poster presenters (more on our stronie)

CATS in Psychology at UJ will be in May: 31 May 2026
We also invite you on 10 June 2026 to SIPS (Spring/Summer Institute-wide Poster Session).
