Conferences Acclaiming Transparent Science | CATS in Psychology | UJ edition | 2026
Are you interested in psychology? Do you value an environment of open, scientific discourse? And do you like cats?
Or maybe you’re simply fed up with conferences where:
- you listen, nod, and leave without any concrete takeaway?
- substantive discussion ends in the corridors?
- you listen to monologues with no room for discussion?
- an invisible barrier separates “junior” and “senior” people so they don’t talk to each other?
So are we.
That’s why we want to do it differently. Welcome to the third edition of CATS!
CATS is a conference where:
- content matters, not titles and hunting for p-values below 0.05
- feedback and idea development matter, not just points and certificates
We will meet in one space: students, PhD candidates, researchers and academic staff, to jointly consider how we do science in psychology and related disciplines.
We are introducing an innovative system of individual feedback for poster presenters (more on our website).
