Hi — in response to February’s cold we’re organizing a weekend full of music and dance, as warm as early hot jazz sounds. This time we open the doors to the world of musicality! You’ll get 15 hours of workshops, training sessions and practices spread over 3 days, from Friday to Sunday, led by 6 Swing Avenue teachers according to their freshest approach to the topic.

DANCE SESSION

What is a Dance Session? You receive 10 hours of invaluable dance knowledge, our original discoveries, tested solutions and personal reflections from 6 mentors. Additionally, there are 3 hours of guided training sessions and 2 meetings devoted solely to providing feedback (something like private lessons), with enough time to work through it.

Spend a total of 15 hours in the studio and see for yourself how to build your progress. We guarantee an individual approach and intensive work.

We have space for only 8 couples so we can devote maximum attention to each participant. We invite mindful dancers seeking a leap to the next level and aware that this requires practice.

TOPICS

The Musicality workshops cover rhythm, musical characteristics and musicality on the dance floor. The aim is to direct participants’ attention to coherence between dance and jazz sound and to find sources of movement in music. A second important focus is openness to the triad conversation: follower - leader - music. We provide practical exercises and skill training under our guidance. We want participants to start thinking in rhythms, listening, reacting, understanding and anticipating, instead of planning dance by figures.

The course path includes original workshops, group trainings, feedback sessions and independent work. Each teacher will introduce you to their unique process used daily.

• Saturday, 28 February — 11:00 - 14:00 Block II (ST Rytm)



• Saturday, 28 February — 14:00 - 16:00 lunch break



• Saturday, 28 February — 16:00 - 19:00 Block III (ST Rytm)



• Sunday, 1 March — 11:00 - 14:00 Block IV (ST Rytm)



• Sunday, 1 March — 14:00 - 16:30 lunch break and venue change



• Sunday, 1 March — 16:30 - 19:30 Block V (Millenium)

Classes are intended for intermediate and advanced dancers. We will dance in pairs, solo and with rotations. Participant number limited to 16 people.

💰 FEE
450 PLN for 15 hours of joint activities, including:

• 10 hours of original classes



• 3 hours of group training sessions



• 2 hours of feedback

Note: the workshops are designed as an integral whole — we do not enroll for single blocks.
