    About the event

🎨 "SHITSTORM" Exhibition as part of Fringe Warsaw 📅 September 24-28, 2025 The shitstorm has long flowed in a swift stream of excrement from the internet's hyper-reality into our increasingly murky everyday life. On the streets, in homes, at tables, in schools, or at borders, a heated debate rages where substantive arguments hold no value and are even unwelcome. On the turbulent waves of feces, somewhere between two clashing currents of half-truths in Poland, Martyna Czech and Bolesław Chromry surf. In the presented works, we find pain, escape, irony, and searching – elements that today, in a mass lost without authority and arguments, are all the more relevant and worth noticing; because, like never before, they bring us closer to the Other. Because we all have it rough. The Others do too. Curator: Tytus Klepacz 📍 Towarowa 3 Martyna Czech is a graduate of the Faculty of Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice. Winner of the Grand Prix of the 42nd Painting Biennale "Bielska Jesień 2015" at the Bielska BWA Gallery in Bielsko-Biała, finalist of the Biennale of Young Art Rybie Oko 9 at the Baltic Gallery of Contemporary Art in Słupsk. Winner of the Trójka Talents in the Visual Arts category. Nominated for the Polityka Passports in the Visual Arts category, also distinguished in the 13th Geppert Competition. Bolesław Chromry is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, author of graphic novels, children's books, and exhibitions commenting on post-transformation Poland. A refugee from the advertising industry, he currently co-creates TVP scenography and dances in the band Chair (in a mask!). His drawings are a meme-like story about what adulthood looks like for the DDD generation – children from dysfunctional homes and corporate trauma. He likes dogs, color, Happy Mondays, and tells stories about life in a "laugh through tears" style.
