Sometimes you can’t say everything with words. Sometimes the body speaks first, and the mind catches up later.
That’s why we created the A.R.T. Foundation Women’s Club — a safe space for adult women (including seniors, women with disabilities, and foreign women) who want to catch their breath, regain agency and feel they are not alone.
These are monthly meetings led by two facilitators, combining:
Why art therapy?
Because art is sometimes the safest language.
Painting, drawing, collages, working with form — these are not “pretty things on paper”. They are ways to touch what is difficult: fear, shame, anger, sadness. Without pressure, without judgment, without having to explain yourself.
Art therapy:
And body‑work?
Because “the human body contains its whole history… and through body‑work you can unblock the expression of experiences and influence quality of life.” (Polish Association for Dance and Movement Psychotherapy)
It works. We launched the Women’s Club as a pilot in 2023 (after a long break). I (and we) have seen real change: greater emotional stability, more courage, more “I can”, less loneliness. This is not a place “for the well‑behaved and orderly”.
This is a place for those who want to put themselves back together in their own way. Without hurry. With respect.
